… a Federal Holiday of United States which is usually celebrated on each years last Monday of May. Formerly It was called Decoration Day. This federal holiday commemorates all members of US military who have died in service to their country. First memorial day was celebrated for Union soldiers who died during the US Civil War. Later it was expanded to all who died in any military action. Memorial day is also viewed as the beginning of summer by many, most schools usually will be closed too in 2009 Memorial Day Weekend.
