Memorial Day is the day when we remember to all who have died in the service of our nation. The Memorial Day former was called Decoration Day. People say that the “Memorial Day festivities” originaly were invented from former President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1966 in N.Y, but in real life there is no proof for this Memorial-Day-Legend. But finally there are different stories circulating about the first Memorial days, but one thing is clear: to honor victims of war and defenders of our nation is a human need indeed. But its not a day to honor any and all dead, Memorial days has the aim to honor all those heroes who have given their life in service to our country.
Today Memorial Day is also a often interruption of work week and many people cut their work week calender and make some so called memorial day events, memorial day parade, memorial day travel or memorial day tournament.
The memorial day weekend travel is even sometimes a problem on usually higher frequented destinations – no wonder, if there always will be offered several memorial day travel deals or memorial day sale events.
